Chromatography lab located at the Food Flavoromics and Sensomics Group is specialized in research in the field of food volatiles, aroma compounds analysis and their precursors.
The following instruments are located in the lab:
- Gas chromatography – mass spectrometry instruments (comprehensive gas chromatography (GC×GC-TOFMS Pegasus 4, GC×GC-TOFMS BT4D, tandem mass spectrometer (GC/MS (QQQ), single quadrupole mass spectrometer
- Gas chromatography – olfactometry sets (GC-O, 2 instruments)
- Gas chromatographs with FID detectors (3 instruments)
- Liquid chromatography instruments (analytical (HPLC-DAD-RID), analytical-preparative fast centrifugal partition chromatograph (HPLC-FCPC)
- Flash chromatography instruments (including fully automated one with fraction collector and UV-VIS detector)
- Automated sample preparation and auto-injection systems: SHS (static headspace), SPME (solid phase microextraction), SBSE (stir bar sorptive extraction), ITEX (In-tube extraction), TF-SPME (Thin film SPME), VASE (vacuum assisted sorbent extraction).
- Automatic sample prep station (Workbench)
- Sets for sample preparation: SPE (solid phase extraction), SAFE (solvent assisted flavor evaporation), SDE (simultaneous distillation-extraction)
